Mother, Teacher, Herbalist...and life long student of Mother Earth.
I have been studying herbalism for over 25 years. At heart I'm a community folk herbalist with strong training in the Vitalist and Alchemical lineages of Western Herbalism, and a foundational knowledge of Ayurveda in the Eastern tradition. In addition to my product line and practice, I own a nature based preschool and provide herbal medicine summer camps for children. On occasion I have a traveling summer festival apothecary.

Gratitude and credit to my dear family and friends, students, clients, fellow parents and herbalists- all of you are an integral part of my work and education. To my many teachers in herbalism including my formal ones: Rosemary Gladstar at Sage Mountain, Sajah and Whitney Popham at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism and their Natura Sophia spagyric preparations, John and Kimberly Gallagher and Rosalee De La Forêt at Learning Herbs, The Herb Shoppe Intern Program, and to Jason and Kelsey Scott of Feral Fungi and their spagyric mushroom preparations.
To the Earth, the elements, the plants, animals, minerals, and fungi and all of their magic and guidance. Thank you all.
Garden abundance, Calendula and Hops on this day!
Festival Apothecary- I love having an outdoor sunshine-y mobile herb shop!
Boneset, Eupatorium perfoliatum...First time growing this beauty in the garden...I can see how it's very straight and sturdy structure with opposing leaf sets fits the doctrine of signatures- a plant can look like the part of the body it helps- it feels like a living skeleton, and then the cream or bone colored flowers...I'm so excited to have it growing here with me!
Another festival apothecary picture- I think the best part is setting up and decorating, but the best part is also meeting lots of friendly folk to talk with plants about...taking it all down and packing up is not my favorite part!
Such a sweet old growth trail along the Salmon River in Mount Hood Wilderness in Oregon....Mossy trees full of personality, look at this guy on the right pointing his finger, I didn't see this until I saw the picture!
